As a business owner, you've certainly faced a lot of highs and lows in your business, especially during these challenging times.

But look at everything from a standpoint that it’s happening for you, not to you.

Be positive. Believe there is still good in this world.

It’s all a matter of mindset.

Thoughts are very powerful. What you think or perceive becomes your reality. Therefore, you have to be very intentional with the kinds of thoughts that you have on each day of your life.

Understanding the Concept of Perception

Perception is how you decide what reality actually looks like. You can't change what people think. And it's not your job to change what other people think.

It's about what you think, what you take in, what your influences are, and what you believe. And that makes everything up in our mind.

Radical Generosity: Believing the Best First

Radical generosity as a mindset is about believing the best first. Are you the type of person who always turns to good ideas? Or do you immediately go to the worst-case scenario?

It takes a lot of practice to believe the best first about something or someone, especially if you have a wounded history or experience that has created a bias to the decisions you’re making.

Showing Up and Having a Presence in the Room

Radical generosity is also about showing up fully present, open, and available. It means being fully focused and dedicated to what you’re here to do. You’re not distracted. You don’t wander off. You don’t try to figure out what the response is to whatever is being said to you. You listen. And having this kind of presence has a lot to do with your thoughts and behavior.

The Characteristics of Level Five Leadership

  • A sacred blend of personal humility and professional will
  • Willing to thank others
  • Willing to express that power of humility instead of exercising the ego that you can easily wield into the room
  • Innately resolved to say what they’ve been called to do, this is what they’re going to do, and how they’re going to do it.
